Harold & Kumar
Escape from Guantanamo Bay'

Runtime: 100min 22secs
Tagine: This time they're running from the joint.
Written and Directed by: Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg

Plot Outline:
The newest adventure of Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) pretty much picks up where the last one left them. We follow the pot-smoking duo, this time, to a cross-country adventure as they try to outrun the authorities, who suspect them of being terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board their flight to Amsterdam.

Overall Impressions:
The lovable idiots haven't changed & nor have their adventures per se, but it is a laugh a minute adventure if you appreciate this brand of humour.

Personally I wasn't a large fan back in the day, when the first one released, however upon repeat viewing I've loved it & though I thought a sequel was a bad idea, they've proved me wrong. In fact, if the writing were to remain consistent or better itself as it has done in this instance, I would welcome another chapter with open arms.

What I will say is that the title/synopsis are perhaps a little misleading, the escape actually occurs within the first act of the film, what follows is the pursuit of cleansing their name of the fake accusations.

It wasn't a bomb, it was a bong!Certainly not for everyone, but those that know what these characters are about (very little) & enjoy this brand of mayhem, they will be glad to know, the quality has not dropped as is the trend with such sequels as a general. Top-notch!
