Deception'
Runtime: 107min 6secsWritten by: Mark Bomback
Directed by: Marcel Langenegger
Plot Outline:
An accountant (Ewan McGregor) is introduced to a mysterious sex club known as The List by his new mysterious lawyer friend (Hugh Jackman). As he gets addicted in this new world, he finds a girl that he wants to hold onto (Michelle Williams). Soon he becomes the prime suspect in the woman's disappearance and entangled in a multi-million dollar heist.
Overall Impressions:
Sound like a flick you've seen already? That's how it felt. The anonymous sex-club aspect seemed sort of interesting except the fundamental flaw whereby it assumes all members will be good looking and vaguely compatible.
The whole thing felt overly contrived and dependant on its own rules which as mentioned are flawed. If robbing rich people was this easy, all the geeks out there would already be on it, like a rash.
It's as boring and predictable as it sounds and looks. Decent performances can't change that. Plotwise about 15 years too late.

not much of a film if ewan turns up at the club and there's a bunch of fatty's.
Yikes, sounds like this wasn't a winner at all. There was almost no ads for this film here in Toronto, I wondered if they are trying to downplay buzz on it.
It's really too bad with such a stellar cast that it looks like such a miss.
I saw this on Tuesday. Still haven't gotten around to my review but a preview: same general thoughts.
