Talks of Pie that Crumble

  By _ram-jaane' on July 30, 2006 12:03 PM | 3 Comments

Overall the night didn't on and on as was suggested by the organisers of the event, but it did go on. The turnout for the dead farmers parte' was quite a good one, a spread of colleagues & friends ranging from Superstuds like me to that old funny face feller that used to thrive on playing Halo and joining me on my ventures of consuming mountans of chips that were not visible due to the glazed cheese covering it all (melted naturally, not heated to melt).

Well, it pains me to say I don't consume as much I used to, but it was good reminiscing such times. The 45 minute conversation ending in 'Life is for Pudding' was a memorable one, most else was a haze, though there were some oriental girls who tried to use our reservations at dorsia without our permission, they were reasonable looking so we tolerated, else we wouldn't care how orientally arted they were, we'd kick their ass!!! literally.

I shall post photos of the event when I get round to it .. probably later in the week. (m0stly)

Dead Farmer still getting older ..

  By _ram-jaane' on July 29, 2006 3:05 PM | No Comments

The plan is to go out on the town to celebrate this phenomonal success of a dead man still having the ability to age, but in all honesty his mentality hasn't aged that much, He's a big kid at heart. In time I wish him all the best to better himself and become closer to perfect in making the right decisions in soap & moisturisers. its good being able to watch over people around you that go through the same cyclic learning that you had to, however it can also be quite frustrating watching them be warned ample yet making those same mistakes, the only thing you can do is hope that like yourself, that may learn from these things. - alcohol dries up your skin & makes you look old. ;-)

Moi Rejuvenated Moi

  By _ram-jaane' on July 25, 2006 9:00 PM | No Comments

I've had a couple of days off work for nefarious activities like Magnum Ice-Cream, chasing ducks, have a shave (thought it spawned back overnight) & just generally gain some energy back in my mind & soul - overall this has been a success & I have left me rejuvenated. Yessss. Go Me!!

In other news, I’m sure you’re all as thrilled as I about the new SRK flick hitting the cinemas in under 3 weeks. I thought I should send y’all a link to the official website so you can get your wallpapers & screen savers & watch the trailers on loop all day. :) The latest addition is Track 3 from the soundtrack now has a Promo, only 4 & 6 to go - since 5 is a revamp of 2 & probably not in the film & 7 is an instrumental, but you knew that. My brothers on the street tell me that they've only just finished shooting track 6 so at a guess that'll be last to air if at all in the promos, if they plan on special appearances (which they do), I'd bet on them nor airing it until a week or 2 after the movie has released..

So here you go --> Tada Ooh & that does remind me, If anyone needs the soundtrack - contact me in the usual manner using the correct codes & handlers, I'll be on it.

Yet another anticipated release: Trailer #1

This Day Historically ... July 20th

1981 - A dear friend of mine was born.
Celebrated by the Spanish, the Russians, the American's and (perhaps not) the Germans or the Irish :-P, we come together today & I propose a toast to Aditi - a princess in a world of Dragons! - Happy Birthday x

1990 - IRA bombs Stock Exchange

An IRA bomb has blown a 10-foot hole in the London Stock Exchange. Nobody was injured in the blast, although police say there would have been fatalities if they had not evacuated the area before the explosion at 0849 BST.

1982 - IRA bombs cause carnage in London

Eight soldiers on ceremonial duty have been killed in two IRA bomb blasts in central London.
The first blast, in Hyde Park, killed two soldiers and injured 23 others and the second explosion, in Regents Park, less than two hours later killed six soldiers instantly and injured a further 24 people. The IRA admitted carrying out the attacks in a statement echoing Margaret Thatcher's declaration of war on Argentina over the disputed Falklands.

1969 - Armstrong walks on the moon:

At 10:56 p.m. EDT, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, 240,000 miles from Earth, speaks these words to more than a billion people listening at home: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Stepping off the lunar landing module Eagle, Armstrong became the first human to walk on the surface of the moon.

1944 - Assassination plot against Hitler fails:

On this day in 1944, Hitler cheats death as a bomb planted in a briefcase goes off, but fails to kill him. High German officials had made up their minds that Hitler must die. He was leading Germany in a suicidal war on two fronts, and assassination was the only way to stop him. A coup d'etat would follow, and a new government in Berlin would save Germany from complete destruction at the hands of the Allies. That was the plan. This was the reality: Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, chief of the army reserve, had been given the task of planting a bomb during a conference that was to be held at Berchtesgaden (but was later moved to Hitler's headquarters at Rastenburg). Stauffenberg planted the explosive in a briefcase, which he placed under a table, then left quickly. Hitler was studying a map of the Eastern front as Colonel Heinz Brandt, trying to get a better look at the map, moved the briefcase out of place, farther away from where the Fuhrer was standing. At 12:42 p.m. the bomb went off. When the smoke cleared, Hitler was wounded, charred, and even suffered the temporary paralysi of one arm-but he was very much alive. (He was even well enough to keep an appointment with Benito Mussolini that very afternoon.

1917 - Alexander Kerensky becomes the premier of Russia.

1588 - The Spanish Armada sets sail from Corunna.
